Barack Obama quotes as well as quick facts about America's new president.

New United States President, Barack Obama, has proven to be extremely quotable. His inauguration speech, January 20, 2009, brought tears to viewers around the globe. His inspirational words fit the significance of the event, as he becomes the very first African American US President and the first President not born in the continental United States. The event was so looked forward to, that some ticket brokers were asking for as much as $20,095 for a single ticket.

Whether one agrees with Obama's position on certain issues or even supported him as a Presidential candidate, the country ought to support him now. He's in a unique position. Aside from the historical significance his holding office brings to the table, he has inspired on a global level to a degree that reaches the emotional level of the individual. Obama seems to be more looked upon as a symbol at this point than a typical presidential candidate, and a symbol can sometimes have more of a cushion for public forgiveness than a presidential candidate. If Obama does nothing else in his presidential tenure, he'll be able to boast that his taking office has brought national hope, and to a degree, unification at a time when it's most needed.

I am a student in the 7th grade and i do happen to do a report on him and right now you dont know a flippersw about obama!!!!

Phil Partington :
Well, I feel better. Obviously a 7th grader doing a report knows everything about politics, so we should just hand the country over to him.

First, I'm not advocating for Barack Obama. If you read the article, nowehere does it say that Obama's the right man for the job. I happen to think he'll be fine, and frankly, he scares me less than McCain, but I'm not sold on him yet either. That being said, the article is just presenting facts with a smidge of opinion. Take it for what it is.
