The highest Office In The U.S. Having Been Won By An African-American Man With The Middle Name "Hussein" Could Undoutably Give Young Islamic Extremist's Pause.

As President-Elect Barack Hussein Obama II is becoming the most powerful man in the free world, he will have little or no time to relish his accomplishment at defeating first, one of the most formidable political and fundraising machines known in modern American politics, that of the Bill and Hillary Clinton, and then soldering on to to whip a mostly divisive campaign run by Arizona Senator John Mc Cain and his Pit-Bull/Hockey Mom running mate Sarah Palin. Because the world in general and the United States in particular is seemingly at a cross roads in terms of its economic policies and really in a fight for economic stability.

It perhaps makes sense then that the first order of business out of the new President-Elect's Chicago office dealt squarely with the naming of his economic team along with a number of advisors from both the past Clinton Administration and the present Bush Administration who come both from the practical on the ground, hard knocks Wall Street crowd and the vaunted academic crowd. Either way, the most important thing to Obama seems to be that they are experienced and extremely smart.

The economic piece of Mr. Obama's Administration is important because economic stability for the U.S. goes hand in hand with U.S. global security and the ability to project power. One of the major financial advantages to being in U.S. shoes since World War II has been the steady growth of the economy and the financial juggernaut that Wall Street has been up until now. And with terrorist attacks in New York, the money and credit center of the U.S. occurring on September 11th, 2001 and to a lessor extent, but equally as vicious, terror attacks in Mumbai, India last week meant to threaten the financial capital of the world's largest democracy. Perhaps we have to consider what Mr. Obama will do on the terrorist front to keep the homeland and American interests around the world safe and secure.

Some would argue that Mr. Obama is coming into the job with advantages no other prior President-Elect of the U.S. has ever had. He is African-American- to which some contend that he is automatically more able to identify with the plight of those people of color around the world. Secondly, he has both lived and traveled extensively abroad, this may help him in dealing with people coming from parts of the world that traditional Presidents did not have a frame of reference to work from. And lastly, his name could be a great resource that my reap untold reward. In other words, just that name Barack Hussein Obama II, may give a young not yet hardened potential terrorist the idea, that hey that guy has part of my name too, maybe there is something else to do, or another way to go besides terror.
