The talent lineup for the “Kids Inaugural: We Are the Future, has been announced by the Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC) . The “Kids’ Inaugural” is a concert honoring military families that will take place at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. and air on Disney Channel (8:00 - 9:30 p.m. ET/PT, Monday, January 19). The Inaugural concert for kids will take place on the day preceding the U.S. Presidential Inauguration of Barack Obama, which will take place on Tuesday, January 20. Televised by Disney and on Disney WebsiteThis event designed to entertain the kids and young adults is an opportunity to include young people in the historic inauguration of Barack Obama. Youth across America will be able to watch the “Kids’ Inaugural’ on television and look up information on the Disney/USA website. Disney will host a special page for the inauguration starting on January 16, 2009. The page for kids will feature polls, games, videos on concert performers and a chat component. Disney Channel will present “Kids’ Inaugural: We Are The Future,“ on Monday, January 19, 2009. The concert celebration will take place at Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. in honor of military families. The celebration will be hosted by Mrs. Michelle Obama, Dr. Jill Biden and their families. The inaugural event, geared for young people, will be simulcast on Radio Disney, and will be streamed on the Disney website immediately after the telecast on Disney Channel is finished airing. Kids’ Inaugural Concert PerformersThe Presidential Inaugural Committee has lined up high energy musical performers to appeal to a youthful audience.
